Delightful SFTP Client

for macOS

Browse, edit, and move files on any server — with keyboard-first navigation, live syntax highlighting, and a UI that doesn’t feel like it shipped in 2011.

An SFTP client built like a native Mac app.

SwiftUI, actor-based networking, zero UI lag on large directories. Every action — navigate, open, edit, upload — has a key. Reach for the mouse only when you want to.

$29 once. Not $45. Not $9.99/month. Buy it, own it, keep it.

It’s real — click in, then Return .

Native, not Electron.

Keyboard-first.

Everything a terminal can do.
Everything a terminal can’t.

Color-coded file browser

Extension-aware icons make a directory scannable at a glance. A monospace breadcrumb you can click at any segment.

A real text editor, not a text box

Open any file in place with live syntax highlighting. Edit, ⌘↩ to save straight back over SFTP, ⌘R to revert.

A transfer queue you can trust

Upload via drag-and-drop or a picker; every transfer shows progress, and you can cancel or retry without losing your place.

File ops that don't require a terminal

Rename, delete, move, new folder, and edit permissions — with the symbolic form right there, not hex you have to decode.

Trust-on-first-use host verification

The first connection pins the server's key fingerprint. If it ever changes without warning, SFTPro warns you loudly.

SHA256:qP9x…8a3c

Verified — matches the saved fingerprint.

SSH keys or passwords

Connect however your servers actually authenticate. Ed25519 and RSA keys, encrypted or not — no requirement to type a password every time.

id_ed25519 (encrypted)

Saved servers, secured properly

One-click reconnect to any server you've used before. Passwords and key passphrases live in the macOS Keychain — never on disk.

Stored in Keychain

Built for people who don’t like reaching for the mouse.

Click the file list once to focus it. Everything after that is one key away.

The gap between free and $45, closed.

Cyberduck is free and dated. Transmit and ForkLift are polished but cost $45. SFTPro matches the polish, native and keyboard-first, at $29.

No subscription tax, no bloat from twenty years of feature accretion — just the SFTP workflow, done well, at a price that doesn’t need a manager’s approval.

One price. Own it forever.

$29

Free to try. $29 one-time to unlock editing and uploads. Works on macOS 26 or later.

Questions, answered.

Is this a subscription?+

No. $29once. No account, no recurring charge, no “trial expired” nag screen.

What's free vs. paid?+

Free: browse any number of servers, connect, preview files, download. Paid ($29, one-time): edit and save files in place, upload, and use the file operations (rename, delete, move, permissions, new folder).

Does it support SSH keys?+

Yes — Ed25519 and RSA, encrypted or plain. Passwords work too.

Is my password safe?+

Passwords and key passphrases are stored in the macOS Keychain, the same system every other Mac app uses for secrets. They never touch disk in plain text and never leave your machine.

What happens to my purchase when v2 ships?+

v1 updates stay free. A major version with a real feature leap (dual-pane browsing, tabs, more backends) will be a paid upgrade — discounted for existing owners. You keep using v1 for free for as long as you want either way.

Do you have a free trial?+

The free download is the trial — there's no time limit on browsing and previewing. You only pay when you need to write.

What if I want a refund?+

Purchased through the App Store, Apple's standard refund policy applies. Purchased direct, email support@sftpro.dev within 14 days.
